what is a email autoresponder

It’s 2023, you need to know why is a website important for small business. Nothing cooks my grits more than seeing these massive social media followings and no way of getting people off of that social platform onto their own personal website. No way of making $$ off that following. Just another deserted link in bio.

If you’re a newer entreprenuer, you may not yet see the importance of having a website. Well this article will delve into the significance of building a website and a email list.

Why Is A Website Important For Small Business?

Firstly, it allows individuals to express their creativity and share their passions with a wider audience. It serves as a stand alone digital platform aside from social media to showcase individual talents, hobbies, or personal projects on a deeper level.

Why complain about the algorithm is always hindering your exposure? Instead, whenever you have anyones attention on social media, work like crazy to get them off of that platform onto your website where you make the rules!

Secondly, A website serves as a hub to engage with friends, family, or like-minded individuals through features such as comments, forums, or social media integration. It fosters connections, enables discussions, and creates opportunities for collaboration.

Moreover, with a website individuals can create and publish personalized informative content, tutorials, or articles on topics they are passionate about.

By sharing their expertise, they contribute to their niche community, help others learn and grow and become a goto person in that niche.

Lastly, a website supports personal branding and online presence. It allows individuals to establish their digital identity, build credibility, and expand their network. Whether for personal or professional purposes, a website helps individuals create a lasting impression and open doors to new opportunities.

What’s The Big Deal With Email Lists?

After creating your website, building an email list is a smart strategy for many reasons.

Firstly, an email list allows you to maintain consistent communication with people who visit your site. It provides a personalized channel to share valuable content, updates, promotions, and other relevant information without using social media.

An email list also enables you to grow relationships and build trust with your subscribers over time. By consistently giving valuable content and engaging with your audience, you can establish yourself as someone people can trust in your niche.

This is my favorite… When you have an email list you have control over your marketing efforts, free of algorithm changes or platform limitations. You own the contact information of your subscribers, allowing you to reach them reliably and efficiently. What Is A Email Autoresponder

Finally, an email list is a powerful tool for driving conversions. By strategically targeting your audience with tailored offers, exclusive discounts, or limited-time promotions, you can increase engagement on social media, encourage repeat purchases, and ultimately boost your business’s revenue and growth.

What Is A Email Autoresponder

Funny how at one point I thought you’d have to start an email list manually inside of gmail. Don’t get me wrong, Gmail is cool but you’d need something a bit more… advanced. You would actually need an email autoresponder.

An email autoresponder is a valuable tool that automates and manages email marketing campaigns. It lets you to send pre-defined, automated emails to subscribers depending on triggers or time intervals. The primary purpose of an autoresponder is to automate the delivery of targeted messages, build customer relationships, and drive conversions.

When integrated with your website, an email autoresponder offers many different benefits. It saves you time by streamlining email delivery, ensuring consistent communication with subscribers even when you’re sleep.

You can create automated email sequences triggered by specified actions, such as sign-ups or purchases, allowing you to create email sequences tailored for your audience. By delivering relevant and valuable content through automated emails, you engage your subscribers and allow customers to trust you because they are consistently seeing you.

Which brings me to the biggest reason why/how email autoresponders help me out.

How Do Autoresponders Help Me Most?

If you didn’t know, the marketing rule of 7 highlights the importance of repeated exposure to you or your brand. An email autoresponder plays a crucial role in implementing this rule by delivering a series of automated emails over time.

By consistently appearing in subscribers’ inboxes, people slowly start to recognize your brand and you become a familiar why is a website important for small businessface which is vitally important. This allows them to get to know who you are and how you let your personality or brand tonality shine through.

The key takeaway here is people purchase from people and brands that they trust! Simple as that.

Some popular autoresponders include Mailchimp, ConvertKit, AWeber, and GetResponse. I have personally used MailChimp, Aweber, GetResponse and something that is working for me now is System.ie

How Am I Building My Email List?

Lead Magnets: You’ve more than likely seen these before. Lead magnets offer incentives in exchange for email list opt-in.

Popular lead magnets include ebooks or exclusive content. This encourages visitors to join your list if they really want what you are giving away.

You can see my lead magnet right here where I’m giving away a free course that will show you how to set up your own affiliate email marketing business… Step By Step 😉

The strategy that I am focusing on at the time of writing of this post to get traffic to my lead magnet is SEM, or Search Engine Marketing. Essentially I only focus on creating niche related blog and YouTube content.

And on each and every peice of content I create there is a Call To Action** (CTA) by the end of the video or blog post encouraging visitors to get my free course. This way I am attempting to gain exposure on 2 of the biggest search engines in the world: Google & YouTube!why is a website important for small business

**A CTA, or Call to Action, is a prompt or message in marketing and advertising that encourages whoever is consuming the content to take a specific action. It’s sole purpose is to inspire an immediate response, like clicking a link, making a purchase, signing up for a newsletter, or any other action that aligns with the content creators goals.

  1. Hi Thomas,

Your article on the importance of a website was enlightening. I already have a website for affiliate marketing that I am still building. I am still learning a lot. So your section on building email lists is intriguing. I haven’t gotten that far in my training yet, but I am looking forward to it. I was wondering, does the course that you offer cover how to get traffic to my website? I am struggling to get consistent visitors to my site..

    1. Hey Scott.. Thanks for replying. To answer your question, yes it does. It is all encompassing and it tells you confirmed methods that work and shows you how to effectively implement them!

  2. Having a website for your small business in the social media age is like having a shopfront in the bustling market of the internet. It’s your place to show off your creativity, passions, and unique offerings to a broader audience than just social media.

Those platforms are great for starting conversations, but your website is where you get to be the boss and create your own rules. Plus, it’s a spot to connect with folks who share your interests, have meaningful discussions, and even team up on exciting projects.

So, if you’re wondering why a website matters for your small business, picture it as your digital canvas and the direct path to building a brand that people can trust and instantly recognize.

  3. what you said is amazing! That’s what I’m trying to do with my website! I’m currently publishing lots of content on my website and I am striving to build an email list. However, it’s not always easy because despite all my hard work, I’m still not visible enough on the Internet. I’m starting to notice some traction though, but it’s always on my content related to celebrities (I guess that’s what people want to visit on the Internet!)

    1. That’s good to hear and my advice on what you said is to not reinvent the wheel. Go with what works, cater your strategy around what is getting you the most valuable traffic and be consistent! All the best to you!
